The megaphone wasn't very loud, so only those near the front could hear the race briefing. Maybe it would be better to do the briefing on the field before walking to the start?

Very well organised, from the very beginning, with the marshals in the car park, friendly marshals, (so many!) on the route, excellent signposts, water stations and medical staff. Beautiful views but it’s very hilly. The only complaint is the starting time, it’s in August, it’s Summer and if it’s hot, it will make a difference for the runners starting a little bit earlier! Otherwise, it’s a lovely, friendly excellent race.

I think the RD and Liss Runners put on a fantastic event. I find it tough every year but every year I keep coming back. The marshals on the course and at the water stations are always so encouraging and positive. The finish area is always so positive and supportive. A great well organised run. I’m not going to say I’ll be back next year but I expect so.

It was the first time I had taken part in the event, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had heard about the hills beforehand but it wasn't until the race was underway, that I really understood how much of a challenge it was going to be. That being said, I thought the route was great, with stunning views available and some really nice trails underfoot.

Similar to what has already been mentioned, I thought the race briefing could have been given at the HQ before departing, as I it hard to hear when we were all lined up. Additionally, the awards ceremony was difficult to hear over the music from the PA system. The only other thing, was that some of the cold drinks ran out post race, and knowing how hot it was today, I think preparations for cold refereshments could have maybe been more thorough.

Overall, I had a really great time. It was challenging but oddly fun and I would definitely do ot again!

Family friendly and great atmosphere

I was a bit nervous about this run as I'd heard it was quite serious and fast. However I loved It and would strongly recommend it.
It was very friendly and well organised and a spectacular route with lots of trails and plenty of hills!
My one suggestion would be about the pre race briefing. I was about half way back and couldn't hear it at all. The megaphone wasn't loud enough even when announcements were made by the registration table so perhaps this needs to be changed somehow.

Always do this race and love it. Great scenery, a challenging route and very reasonably priced. So many races these days have got way too expensive as running has become very popular. Will be back next year xx

Parking makes it easy too

Just to say that I felt this was event was very well organised, with excellent marshals, perfect signposting and a really well designed route. I was pleased that tarmac was kept to a minimum and that there was such a great variety of terrain and scenery. Perhaps one thing that the organisers might consider changing (but I don't feel strongly at all about this), is that the info about safety etc could be delivered when everybody is at the car park, just before moving to the start line. I think the people that were further away from the front were struggling to hear what was said.

There is not one thing I can fault about this event and am so glad I went back for my second year. The parking, the venue, collection of numbers, friendly social atmosphere (I was alone but felt very chilled), the brilliant marshal on the course offering encouragement although to be told at just over 3 miles I was 3rd lady was a bit scary...LOL..the well placed water stations, great route markings and what can I say...the apres run hot drinks and CAKE !!! Also lots of friendly runners, always a bonus. Thank you.
