A well organised run in stunning countryside

Just to say that I felt this was event was very well organised, with excellent marshals, perfect signposting and a really well designed route. I was pleased that tarmac was kept to a minimum and that there was such a great variety of terrain and scenery. Perhaps one thing that the organisers might consider changing (but I don't feel strongly at all about this), is that the info about safety etc could be delivered when everybody is at the car park, just before moving to the start line. I think the people that were further away from the front were struggling to hear what was said.

Thanks Mario - we appreciate the feedback about the safety briefing, and will take this into consideration for this year.

Just a fantastic, feel good event...tough but so very much worth it.

There is not one thing I can fault about this event and am so glad I went back for my second year. The parking, the venue, collection of numbers, friendly social atmosphere (I was alone but felt very chilled), the brilliant marshal on the course offering encouragement although to be told at just over 3 miles I was 3rd lady was a bit scary...LOL..the well placed water stations, great route markings and what can I say...the apres run hot drinks and CAKE !!! Also lots of friendly runners, always a bonus. Thank you.

A locally run multi-terrain race that I will keep coming back to. Yes it's hilly, but where's the fun in a flat road race?! Thanks for getting a late, stressed out runner to the start line! The organisation and marshals were brilliant. See you next year.

Outstanding and challenging trail race

Massive thank you to Liss Runners. Best signage on a course, super clear and loved the big signs. Huge thanks you to the Marshall’s on the course and race director and team for a truly memorable race. Loved the course.

A tough but beautiful course to test yourself

I have done this race 6 times now first time in 2017 and it is a beautiful off road course through harting and the south downs and ditcham park woods. A great course to rest your cross country and amazingly enjoyable running through the woods . Great if you are feeling good, and a tough one if you aren't feeling your best, but always a good work out to make you worthy of your Sunday dinner!

A great event. Fabulous marshals, brilliant course with impeccable signage.

Several people (myself included) went to collect their numbers and were told that they would have to check their numbers first on the board that was to one side of the numbers desk. It would have been better if these were on the board next to the course map, I.e. before you get to the numbers desk. With some signage telling Runners to check their numbers before approaching the desk, that would have improved things.

Excellent encouraging Marshalls

Excellent course marking.
Try chip timing next year. Increased cost I know, but it made an enormous difference to our Gibbet Hill 10k this year. Takes the pressure off the time recorders.

Thanks Dave - great to hear that chip timing made such a difference! We'll take this into consideration. Hope to see you back this year!

A hidden gem that needs revealing

The Harting 10 miler should be on every running enthusiasts calender. The rolling hills, techinal trails and flat "breath back" roads combine to create a truly spectacular course.
The community spirit was high. Prizes for all age categories which is something often forgotten about by other races, a great trainer giveaway and home baked goods for sale after gave the event a welcoming atmospshere.
Wether it is your first trail 10 looking to achieve a new milstone is your running story, or you are a seasoned vet looking to see how much you can put into the hills of the south, then this is the race for you. A beautiful photographic medal, also the first of it kind I have seen is waiting for all finishers. The cost to quality is amazing for this event. I will certainly be back if the dates align.

Incredible Route

I have done this run a few times now and it never ceases to disappoint me. Yes it’s a very tough course but the views certainly make up for it. It’s such a well organised run and the volunteers are fantastic, so encouraging and friendly. Plenty of water at all water stations. Cannot wait to return for my 4th consecutive year. Well done Liss Runners!
